Georgie Cowan-Turner

Georgie is a multi-award winning writer & director. Selected for BFI’s Director’s Lab, aimed at directors working towards features, she is a BAFTA Connect Member chosen in “recognition of her contribution to the film industry and her promising career ahead”. Described as a “Visionary Filmmaker”(Bond on Cinema), with her films heralding "the breath of a fresh, bold new voice” (South London Film Festival). Her shorts have been commissioned by BBC, Northern Ireland Screen and BFI, screening in competition at OSCAR/ BAFTA qualifying film festivals. THE GENERATORS was supported by the BFI, starring Matthew Needham (House of the Dragon) and Rory Fleck Byrne (Dope Girls), winning best Director at Fine Line Film Festival (Serbia) and shortlisted for A Rabbit’s Foot’s inaugural Short film Competition. She has been commissioned by major artists to direct music promos, her work praised as “Breathtaking”, “Ethereal, dreamy and confident” (Promo News).
