Katerina Papanastasatou

Born in Athens, I pursued studies in Political Sciences and Acting at the Art Theater of Karolos Koun. Since completing my degree in 2010, I've consistently enriched my understanding of the audiovisual realm through various seminars and courses, with a particular emphasis on scriptwriting and narrative techniques, including sessions at Sundance Collab where I was fortunate to secure full scholarships.Over the past 14 years, my journey as a writer has encompassed scripting 82 television episodes, adapting six theatrical works, and co-authoring an original play. Αs a director I have created 4 theatrical performances and one short film. In the capacity of an assistant director, I contributed to the execution of 12 theater productions and two films. Notably, my short film "FAULT" premiered at the 45th Drama International Short Film Festival, receiving positive acclaim. Furthermore, the feature film I co-wrote and participated in premiered at the 24th Sofia International Film Festival and gained recognition at the San Sebastian Film Festival in the Glocal in Progress section.In recent years, my dedication has been directed towards screenplay development, involving both original concepts and adaptations of literary works. My aspiration is to continue contributing to the industry, potentially exploring opportunities to create a mini-series or take on the role of a head writer for a series.
