Mariel Cortés is a mexican director. After studying photography, she graduated as a filmmaker. Her latest short film Pastel has been part of the official selection of festivals such as Toronto International Film Festival, HollyShorts, San Diego Latino Film Festival, Festival of New Latin American Cinema, among others. She was selected in 2016 for the Talent Campus at Guadalajara International Film Festival. She is currently directing advertising and writing her first feature film.
