Olivia Leong Sulkowicz & Blair Cannon

Olivia Leong Sulkowicz is a screenwriter and director from New York City. Her screenplay Safelight was a Quarter-Finalist in the Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay Competition and a Semi-Finalist for the Cinequest Feature Length Screenwriting Competition. Olivia’s short story Girls And Their Instincts was a Semi-Finalist for the ScreenCraft Cinematic Short Story Contest. Olivia is currently writing a coming-of-age/horror feature, which she also plans to direct. In 2020, Olivia’s short film Keep Warm, the story of a Japanese American grandmother’s romantic and sexual awakening, was selected for the New York Shorts International Film Festival, the Newport Beach Film Festival, the Asian American International Film Festival, and the Los Angeles Asian Film Festival. She is thrilled to see it featured on Girls In Film! @oliviasulks // Blair Cannon is a New York and LA based stylist, costumer, and film director. She began her career working for Beyoncé's team, where she got a crash course in visual storytelling and creative direction, and where she has continued to grow over the past six years. Meanwhile she has worked in all aspects of image-making at independent magazines and brands. Her directorial debut Keep Warm showed at film festivals in 2020. The short explores her East Asian roots through a romance between Asian American elders in New York City. Blair is inspired by her heritage, her fellow Asian Americans, the city, and 90s fashion and culture. @petty__cash
