Sasha Denny

Sasha is a filmmaker of mixed UK and Caribbean heritage, with strong technical expertise and extensive on-set experience across both narrative and documentary projects. She directed Love Over Gold, a Straight 8 finalist that premiered at the Festival de Cannes 2023 and was shortlisted for the Berlin Commercial Awards.

In addition to her solo work, Sasha co-directed the short film Room Service alongside Daisy Allen, which has screened at events such as Queer Circle and Queerness in Film by Lemonade Reps. The film also had its screening at Cannes Lions Film Festival.

Her behind-the-scenes work includes collaborations with renowned director Adam Smith (The Chemical Brothers: No Reason, Goodbye, Do It Again) and fashion designer/director Priya Ahluwalia. Sasha’s work has been featured in Promo News, DIY, and Clash, and has been supported by Screen25’s Shorts in the South.
