Sofia Aedo Zahou

Sofia Aedo Zahou is a Stockholm based film director and photographer. Born and raised in Stockholm with her roots in Chile and Greece, she spent a
lot of her childhood reflecting on themes such as identity and belonging, themes that would later become a central influence in her artistry. With a fascination of norms and the unwritten rules in society, her work often revolves around the question of the uninhibited self beyond societal expectations and constructed identities.

In late 2020 she released her first short film, Mansa: An Ode to Self Exploration. Well received both nationally and internationally, Mansa: An Ode to Self
Exploration has been screened in cinemas in Sweden, broadcasted on national television and screened by Amnesty International at World Pride in Copenhagen 2021.
Her work has previously been exhibited at Fotografiska Stockholm and at Copenhagen Fashion Week and she has previously worked with clients such as Spotify, Adidas and Motorola.
