Somos We Are are an international female photographer/director/producer duo who create captivating fashion anddocumentary films presented through the lens of the modern, multi-faceted and metropolitan woman.Candice and Jana, who spend their time between London and Barcelona, were drawn together through a love ofstorytelling while both working across advertising and music at the prestigious Blink Productions in London. Twoyears ago they established Somos We Are to make the films they always wanted to create.The content Somos We Are create is soft-focused, feminine and emotionally stirring but the messaging is alwayspowerful. Whether it’s creating a fashion film for H&M, or exploring the way women perceive their bodies in theirincredibly real film ‘Let’s Talk About Tits’ or uncovering hard truths about life as an immigrant street seller inBarcelona as in ‘HAWKERS’, they’re able to bring to the surface what it is that truly connects us all: humanity.Stylistically, Somos We Are take influence from Gustav Johansson and Kim Gehrig which is seen across the waythey are able to engage with their subjects. They're motivated by finding the extraordinary in the everyday, to discoverthe story in every moment. They aspire to be the go-to production team for brands who want to create brave contentwith real people because for Somos We Are, this is how you really connect with audiences.They’ve developed their skills from their roles across the industry and can take a project from conception and creativethrough to production and delivery. As women, they are underrepresented figures in the film space and through thisexperience, they seek to ensure a welcoming, collaborative and safe atmosphere on set.They have directed and produced films for brands such as Nike, Nivea, H&M, Boots, Watchshop, The Idleman,Ghost, Funky Pigeon, Refinery29 and Glamour.‍‍
