Chioma Ejimofo

Chioma Ejimofo is a Black-British writer/director who works in multiple mediums. In 2023, she was a recipient of the Roundhouse Film Fund; with this funding, she wrote and directed her directorial debut, 'Goodbye Train'. For this, she received the Wiggin Emerging Filmmaker Award. ‘Goodbye Train’ was programmed in the following BIFA and BAFTA qualifying festivals, British Urban Film Festival, Women X Film Festival (where she was awarded the 2024 Rianne Rising Star Award), Sunrise Film Festival (where the film was awarded Best Cinematography 2025) and the Academy Award qualifying Urbanworld Film Festival and the Shiny Awards. Her films have screened at Everyman on the Canal in Kings Cross, the BFI and the Royal Society of Arts. Chioma began as a runner for Smuggler. Following this, she swiftly progressed to Production Assistant roles, contributing to productions for Sky, ITV and ViacomCBS. She is a current BAFTA Connect member. Her upcoming short film, 'Arlo's Last Day', is in pre-production.As an ambitious director, Chioma is dedicated to honing her distinctive style and amplifying underrepresented stories imaginatively.
