
Tatiana Escárate (Santiago, Chile, 1998) is a photographer and emerging filmmaker. In 2017, she migrated to Argentina to begin her university studies, and during the pandemic she temporarily returned to Chile, where she started working as a freelance photographer. In 2021, she settled once again in Argentina, and in 2022 she enrolled in the Image and Sound Design program at the University of Buenos Aires, where she is currently pursuing her degree.
Her photographic work has been curated on international platforms such as PhotoVogue and has been recognized for three consecutive years at the Urban Photo Awards (2022, 2023, and 2024), where one of her photographs was a semifinalist in 2023. Her work has been exhibited in both group and solo exhibitions in Italy, Chile, and Argentina.Within the audiovisual field, she has worked across directing, production, screenwriting, editing, and cinematography. Her first documentary short film, In Memory Lies Oblivion had its world premiere at the ENERC Film Festival and is scheduled for further screenings in 2025. She is the founder of Ignota Prod, a production and distribution company through which she manages the circulation of her debut feature documentary, 'The Identity We Have Built', selected for its world premiere in the International Competition at the Oberá en Cortos Film Festival 2025, where it received the Box Brazil Award.
