Two clumsy beings. A sandwich. A love at first sight.

Ella is wearing jersey number thirteen. Simon has twelve failed dates. Unknown to each other, they go about their destiny. What if today was their lucky day?

This whimsical short is about those small moments in which destiny happens and life can turn around.

Director Rosalie Charrier's first venture into narrative filmmaking after making few music videos came about as a contest challenge - make a film under 2:20mins and with number thirteen.

Charrier says: 'I wanted to make a film that was more raw, authentic, human and personal than the music videos I've made so far. And above all, I wanted to create a female character that I could identify with, with her nuances, her silences, her dull anger. And a male character I can also identify with, with his sensitivity, his clumsiness, his bitterness. A meeting like there are today in our generation. Not fantasized, not dreamed, not glamorized. Just two destinies that cross. And I filmed them with a lot of tenderness.'
