Rise developed from The Body at Work, a research project examining the body as a site of labour, performance and exchange.
Made collaboratively with pole and aerial chains performers Maya Luna and Ella Mitchelle, Rise centres on their relationship to the practice.
Through conversations around the history, community and the physical demands of the practice, Rise explores the strength and sense of belonging found within it.
