"When I can't see myself, I begin to wonder if I really and truly exist." The film opens with this thought-provoking quote over a black screen with suggestive noises in the background before we meet our protagonist who is on the tail end of a sexually disappointing and awkward date. And it doesn't seem like the first time it's happened to Reed, spectacularly played by Naomi Walley. The film then takes a dramatic, sweeping turn as Reed is thrown into a new realm- a world from within — she is met face to face with the personification of her own cervix. Hannah geniously crafts a life-changing hangout between Reed and the most intimate part of herself with humour, absurdity, and a powerful takeaway that we can demand better conditions for the way we view ourselves and the way the world and healthcare systems view us too.
