Zoya is 25 and feels like the clock is ticking; she hasn't been able to tick off one of the biggest things on her list and feels left behind. On a hot summer's night she decides to take the next step with a guy she's been casually seeing and invites him over. As the night progresses she quickly realizes she's advanced in more ways than she realized and decides to take matters into her own hands.
A big reason why the director wanted to make this was to put out a very honest take about what a lot of people's' first time can look like and how a woman in her mid-20's has a wildly different perspective and experience from a teenager. Ruhi doesn't think it's a view we see enough of and that can be very isolating for people who have vastly different sexual experiences. It's for the wallflowers out there to feel like they are not alone and that their not weird for being a wallflower; for waiting and taking their time.
