A poetic short film celebrating the power, individuality and collective spirit of girls’ football in the South West of England. Led by a spoken‑word poem written from lived experience and performed by one of the players, the film weaves together spontaneous, real‑time moments from football camps with carefully composed sequences. It focuses on physicality, determination and personality, and the many different ways greatness shows up on the pitch.

Filmed across football camps in Bristol and made in close collaboration with coach Estelle Randall, the film captures a moment in the growing momentum of girls’ football in the region. Many of the players featured have since progressed into ETC and academy pathways, reflecting the environment of ambition, belief and care that Estelle has built.

At its core, 'Going For Greatness' is a portrait of what becomes possible when young women are given the space to grow, to lead, and to define greatness on their own terms.
