In the Netherlands, many women live in safe houses. Weekly movement classes supports them in reconnecting with their bodies and regaining freedom in the mind.

Together with an entire female filmcrew and the Move Forward Foundation, we created a short documentary inside these safe houses, women both in front of and behind the camera. For their own safety, all of the women featured in the documentary stayed anonymous.

The film explores resilience, sisterhood and the power of movement and community in rebuilding lives.
